The pastor and deacons form the ministry team of Lumb Baptist Church.

Ocean Christian Community, a church in Ocean County, New Jersey, USA for 13 years before returning to his native Lancashire. Before that he was an itinerant evangelist in UK. Robert trained for the ministry at The Center for Urban Theological Studies and Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary, Philadelphia, USA. He is married to Dawn and they have three children in their teens and twenties.
